The Edge of Fate completely changed how weapons and armor worked in Destiny 2, and with that came the "sunsetting" of crafted weapons, where you'd use Deepsight on a Raid weapon (or one from other activities) to basically put your own perks on weapons to make self-crafted god rolls.
