Lego Digital Play snaps up Chrome Valley Customs maker Offroad Games

Lego’s London-based gaming subsidiary has snapped up the team behind Chrome Valley Customs, Offroad Games.

We understand Chrome Valley Customs will continue to operate under the Offorad Games label for now. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed at the time of writing.

It’s the first major public move from Lego Digital Play since its formation back in early 2025, when the toy giant spun up the the new mobile gaming-focused arm. The London-based outfit is led by president Aaron Loeb, a 30-year games industry veteran whose previous roles include leadership at Scopely, FoxNext Games and EA.

Offroad Games’ staff have all taken up roles at Lego Digital Play as of this morning, according to a flurry of LinkedIn posts.

The Chrome Valley Customs maker spun out of Space Ape as part of the deal that saw Supercell acquire the majority of the London studio back in 2025.

That deal also saw NextBeat spin out to run BeatStar, which was then acquired by Duolingo. Space Ape cofounder John Earner is an adviser at Lego Digital Play.
