Pokemon Go Fest has always existed in the periphery of my life much like how Comic-Con or Coachella has: one of those massive cultural gatherings you don’t truly understand until you’re physically standing in the middle of it, seeing 40,000 adults dressed as trainers first thing in the morning. I knew people were still playing Pokemon Go. I just didn’t realize they played it like this.
