What is the Future of Metal Gear Solid?

The Metal Gear series has had a turbulent run over its near 4 decades of existence. Now with the release of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, fans have been able to look back at the highs of the series, though it brings up the question of how Metal Gear can move itself forward. Konami has successfully brought back Silent Hill and Castlevania, though without the inclusion of the Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima, and with a conclusive ending to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, we look at which strategies this series can take to remain present in this new era of Konami as well as if its time for them to move on.
