Fallout 3remains one of the most important RPGs of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 era, which only adds pressure to the upcoming remaster of Fallout 3 (now confirmed by Bethesda). When Bethesda brought the Fallout series into 3D back in 2008, it gave players a massive post-apocalyptic world filled with exploration, memorable characters, and the freedom to approach the Capital Wasteland however they wanted. While the game has aged in some areas (especially visually), many fans still look back on Fallout 3 as one of the defining open-world RPGs of its generation.
